I eat these Boca “Chick’n” fake chicken things all the time. Today downing two of them made me horribly ill, to the point that I was out of commission all afternoon, doubled over in pain, rolling on the floor, etc. Now I feel perfectly fine, except not so much in a mood to study. Whether my current mood is a symptom or just me at a natural state of rest is difficult to tell.
The “tab” key came off of my laptop keyboard. Like any geek, I use the tab key more than just about any other one. How to reattach it is unclear, even after 30 minutes of fiddling with it. I fear the “scissor action” may be broken. Educated guess of cost of the possibly broken part: $.22. Educated guess of the time a person of skill would require to fix this: 1 minute (which includes polishing the key cap). Educated guess of the cost if I take this to the store for a repair: $137 (plus $45 for a 2-year warranty on parts and labor). Chance that the part isn’t even broken and that I’m just looking at it wrong: 50 percent. Repair cost if part is not actually broken: $136.34.
Upside: Well, I’ve been thinking about getting a new laptop anyway…
