Purveyor of Iniquities

Negatives:

- A– doesn’t seem to want me to come visit this weekend. I worked straight through last weekend and have contributed much overtime so far this week so that I would have the time.

And she’ll be in Germany for a while starting next week. That she didn’t bother to ask me to join her (I would have declined, but…) gives me some indication that our relationship probably isn’t so strong as I thought. Isn’t it normal, in a serious or semi-serious relationship, to invite one’s SO along on whatever trips one may take, excepting perhaps those that are purely business? I half-remember a string of cousins’ SOs on our infrequent family events and outings.

- AM– didn’t remember until I told her. On the one hand, it feels so small to tell anyone at all. On the other, it’s quietly painful when they forget.

- EMD: is not talking with me.

- No plans at all: tonight, tomorrow, forever.

- A–+N– sent a sweater… It’s the thought that counts, they say.

- Got rejected today by the one law school that I actually could have attended next year.

Postives:

- J– is talking with me, though our conversation was a bit strained.

- Didn’t cut myself shaving this morning.

- Not dead. Seriously, mustn’t forget that.
