Nerves off edge

I have an interview this afternoon for an in-house position.

Shouldn’t I be more nervous? Unusually, I slept well last night.

Then again, it’s not as if the adrenaline rush has ever done me any good before, anyway. The people who hired me for this position no doubt had to force themselves to overlook my interview performance.

There, that memory got the heartrate up a bit.

Update: So I did get significantly nervous beforehand but then cooled down quickly. I think that it went very well. There was good interplay, and they (for there were two interviewers) asked me more or less what I had been expecting. What I hadn’t been expecting was a long-ish description of a project on which I would be working: the challenges that it faces, its changing relevance, etc. I knew about the project beforehand, but not enough about it to say anything too firmly, especially when it seems that they aren’t entirely sure themselves what to do.

Anyway, I will know soon, before the end of the week certainly. I hate waiting to hear about this sort of thing.
