Proof that I am an idiot (or that digital convergence hasn’t quite arrived), II

Good: I can use my mobile phone to control my stereo, via a Bluetooth radio connection. The phone’s screen displays information about the currently playing track. I can use the phone to choose between playlists and songs, sorted in several different ways.

Good: Whenever my phone rings, the stereo pauses itself.

Good: When I leave the room with my phone in my pocket, the stereo pauses itself.

Bad: If the stereo is already paused or stopped, the phone will not ring or vibrate.

Bad: The stereo sometimes restarts itself while I am on the telephone.

Bad: When I then hit the button to stop the stereo, the phone hangs up.
