Santorum & Allard & Allen

“Look at the precedent, my friends. No filibusters…because the Constitution says that it’s a majority vote.”

“We’re not trying to change the rules. We’re trying to bring back the rules.”

Santorum is physically bold and forceful.

Democrats are “twist[ing] the rules…to meet [their] partisan end.”

Great point (Allard): What would really erode the separation of powers? What about a judiciary concerned with ideology and ends above laws that’s willing, essentially, to legislate on those matters cannot be determined to their liking through the democratic process.

(George Allen): One wants “adherence to the Constitution” over “unlimited debate” in a democracy.

Empty seats cause “Undue delays in justice for citizens served by the court.”

Also, Allen has some killer Levin quotes, in which the senator admitted that the Constitution requires a vote.
