Just got a phone call from Nilly, en route from Georgia to Annapolis to attend Keving Higgins’s wedding:
What the fuck? Virginia’s trashed.
Reportedly, Mr. Banerjee will be back in a few weeks for an interview at UVA.
Sat: Maybe I shouldn’t have told him that everything in Annapolis was probably OK.

Crash, bang, whimper

So it rained a little bit and a few branches fell down…big deal.
The important thing in DC is whether the Metro will be open tomorrow.

Friday: Took a cab to work at 8:30. It took 5 minutes to do about 25 blocks. That’s amazing.

Would the last person to exit the building please turn off the light?

Work is closed tomorrow.
Kind of disappointing. I thought we were a bulwark against this sort of thing. You know, communism, socialism, fascism (well, we think so), excessive government vacation days, etc.
Yes, I’ll be at the office, anyway. There’s plenty to do after not getting much done today.
