Misprogrammed day

We spent the entire day seated at our desk thinking about what we should write about “big government,” approaching the topic timelessly, from Founding principles.

We had a lot to say, we had very many sources at our disposal–current and historical budget numbers, a complete set of the Federalist Papers, the Heritage’s Founders’ Almanac, and a whole building full of experts ready to answer our questions.

After six hours and 150 words we gave up and went home for a drink that we’ve still not yet enjoyed. We have resolved not to leave the office tomorrow until we have 600 words with which we are pleased.

In other words, our success depends significantly on tomorrow’s weather.
