How did I not realize that Russ Meyer, who directed “Mudhoney,” which I watched today, was also responsible for “Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill!“?
I mean, it was obvious from the first shot following Hal Hoppers’s boots out of his car and onto the gravel (and, if that wasn’t enough, the go-go dancing was a dead giveaway).
Anyway, the two harlot girls were appropriately sultry, their house-man was played like a monkey-man to great effect, and Hoppers was delightfuly drawn, drawling, and creepy.
And TLA’s promise of scary dentisty was borne out…and then some.
