Good to see Angie, Tim, Adam, Athena, Candy, Geddis, etc.
Emmett is at once a wonderful and horrible travel companion. Commiseration is his strong point (and, unfortunately, there’s often much to commiserate about), and complexity his weakness. Nothing can ever be simple and uncomplicated. Everything is always flowcharts and scheduled rendezvous and so many tenous or missed connections.
“Fellini: I am a born liar” was interesting; Angie and I still need to make it through 8 1/2, though, for things to make a bit more sense. I think I have the right mindset now for watching Fellini, in that it doesn’t bother me when things don’t make sense. I should take advantage of this relaxed attitude while it lasts.
Radar is snarky and unselfconsciously into-it. The second issue will be more revealing, but the first shows promise. It is, as Angie said, People for the overeducated. That’s not exactly right; it’s more like People for the literate and media-obsessed. Whatever.
I think I left a bottle of Jim Beam in Angie and Candy’s apartment; hope it helps with the cleaning…
